As I interact with students, I am profoundly grateful for their commitment to God and deeply impressed with their sense of calling. The faculty and staff here at RBC are invested in the lives of our students and seek to see them grow in the knowledge of God and His holiness. We also seek to equip our students to be compelling communicators in an age when truth, goodness, and beauty are compromised, cheapened, and even denied.Īt RBC, we are an intentionally small community of dedicated mentors and students because we believe that theological education is discipleship. Additionally, we emphasize the great works of literature, history, and philosophy. In fidelity to that vision, we provide a uniquely integrated and comprehensive program of biblical and theological studies. Sproul, our founder, had a distinct and clear vision for RBC. We are a college committed to theological higher education, grounded in and governed by the Bible, and rooted in the past while reaching forward for a new Reformation. We also look forward in anticipation of what the Lord will continue to do through the ministry of Reformation Bible College. We look back in gratitude for the faithfulness of the Lord to RBC, its staff, faculty, and students. In the Fall of 2019, RBC dedicated its new building and expanded campus. Reformation Bible College opened its doors in the Fall of 2011, welcoming the first class of 27 students. Seeing the academy started by John Calvin, impressed upon Dr. Work and Economics, and previous Director of Education Ministries at Ligonier Valley Study Center theologian and pastor Dr. A trip to Geneva offered the final inspiration. Sproul’s dream was to build a college that would be a place where students could once again come and be discipled face to face.
The early Ligonier Valley Study Center had been an actual physical place for students to come and sit under the teaching of Dr. Sproul dreamed of establishing a college where the system of theology found in Scripture and outlined in the Reformed confessions could be taught by a trusted faculty to the next generation. Sproul founded Reformation Bible College in 2011.
