You will need a passport for overseas flights.
As a general rule, for domestic flights or flights within the European Union, a valid ID card or passport is sufficient.

All visitors must hold medical insurance obtained in the country of origin to cover any medical expenses that may be incurred during their trip.

Spanish nationals travelling to Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Portugal, Sweden and Switzerland can travel with a passport even if it has expired within the past five years.
